True Inner Self

We all fall and stumble at some point of time,
When we submit to GOD towards a sinless life.
There may be malice, pride and envying,
And self condemnation may slowly creeps in our way.

Do not listen to the lies of the enemy,
Let not the smallest foothold to the enemy.
The HOLY SPIRIT gently convicts but not condemn,
The righteous fall seven times yet stand again.

You may sometimes feel you have lost your real self,
Due to the deception of this world that has poisoned you.
Your soul has somehow been blinded,
But it silently cries and screams out for help.

Remember we were once sanctified at the beginning,
Does not childhood speak of all purity and innocence?
They laugh, smile and have full of joy,
Love and peace is what they always embrace.

It is not too late to have the heart of a child,
Being like children is what the LORD truly desires.
JESUS said forbid not children to come unto HIM,
For such little ones belongs to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Break away the darkness that chases you relentlessly,
To the light with the presence of GOD entirely.
Breaking all the chains realizing your victory in CHRIST,
Taking back what the devil has stolen what was yours to be.

As you are continuously being sanctified day by day,
The layers of deceit would fall from which blocked your way.
When all these corrupt layers are removed,
You will find your true self that are laid deep within.

That heart that speaks kindness, softness and tenderly love,
It is you whom GOD created,
Of what you were meant to be.

  2. Thank you B.of.Y for joining up with us and I appreciate that you read quiet a few of the messages that were for the encouragement and uplifting of the Body of Christ, I hope you were blessed in being assured of our Unity in Christ Jesus as His Body. .

Yes Jesus Christ, The Living Word, is the only way to God the Father who has the final Authority, and is all in all, being with Jesus and also being One with The Holy Spirit, in The Godhead or Trinity as They are called today, 3 in One as confirmed in the Scriptures below.

1 John 5: 7 For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are One.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I Am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Corinthians 15:27 For He hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He is excepted, which did put all things under Him. And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

    1. I do stumble and sin over time as a human. I do believe that as long as we are in the flesh we will still have that sinful nature which causes us to be tempted and lead to sin. Although, through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT we can overcome all sins and evils, but it is not an overnight thing. It is a progress throughout the refinement and purification when our potter; GOD gives us trials to us, the clay to overcome. There are trials after trials in this life to overcome that eventually make us be stronger in CHRIST.

    2. “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” Ecclesiastes 7:20

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10

  3. Yes B.of.Y untill the flesh is put to death we will battle as Paul shared in Romans 7 but as he than explained in Romans 8 &6 and other Scriptures, we will walk in Victory when we put the flesh to death by The Spirit

Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

Galatians 24 -26 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Romans 8 :12-15 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

God tells us to reckon ourselves dead to sin not keep saying we will sin, we have been set free as so can choose not to sin.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

God does not afflict us willingly He does not cause us to suffer to mold us we are molded as we walk in the Spirit and kept safe during Satan’s fiery trials below is the Scripture that God gave me to hold onto during my Storms

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

    Christian Love Always – Anne.

    1. As long as we fully repentant of our sins, the wrath of GOD will not be coming against us. Therefore, when one do sin, for me I would want to ask for forgiveness immediately and confess the sin for forgiveness with true remorseful repentance. I do believe that GOD will not give us more than what we can handle and even when we fall during the trials, we are to keep in faith knowing that HE will carry us back to stand up strong. Trials do involve suffering sometimes, for example when we are feeling down there is a trial for us when we try to come back to GOD, to praise HIM in the storm–this tests our faithfulness to HIM during our times of suffering and it is not easy for me personally at first.

Yes, there is a choice to sin or not to sin. As a follower of CHRIST we are to hate sin and the power of sin will not be over us. We are to hate what GOD hates and love what GOD loves.

    2. You claim that born again Christians do not sin while it is written very clearly in 1 John 1:8 that we are deceiving ourselves to say ourselves having no sin.

Christians repent and strive for a sinless life but being sinless forever from being born again afterwards is a conflict to the scripture as in Romans 7, Paul talks about struggling with sins in his life but he knew he was saved. Christians would still sin but just not in habitual sins and blatantly sin without shame like when before in darkness.

What I get from your belief is “once saved always saved” for once a person receive spiritual life through faith in Christ, they never sin again? Really? There are backslidden Christians, lukewarm Christians nowadays. They think they have no sin afterwards they are born again. Yes, they may repent for their past sins but afterwards if they stop repenting daily that’s very dangerous for we are told to repent all sins and surrender to God daily, having a relationship with Him and watch for His return daily.

If you are to say you now have no sin everyday, it sounds as though you may not be led by the Holy Spirit but by false man’s doctrines/accepting the devil’s lies.

We keep repenting asking forgiveness of our sins from God daily. Not a one off thing. Yes, we should not sin, but to hate sins and evils, be remorseful for all sins, but we have a fallen nature, our flesh do stumble even when we hate sin and don’t want to sin. We are not to sin whatever we want but be repentant daily of our sins. We strive to be like Christ everyday and be purified of our hearts to be clean.

  4. Sinful pride (also called selfish pride) is when one thinks of them self as being more equal to God then someone else. Their real desire is to be God. This pride drives evil competition; some people just have to win at whatever they do. It matters little what they are doing or what the cost of winning. It could be winning a board game or winning in the board room. If feelings are hurt, friendships destroyed or lives ruined it’s of little or no consequence as long as they win.
Controlling sinful pride: The antidote for sinful pride is humility. “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you, to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”. Micah 6:8
When Pride is not sinful: As C. S. Lewis pointed out, God not only wants us to do good works, and He wants us to do good work. When our Lord made wine from water, it was so good that even the wedding director felt the need to comment. Unfortunately, in most churches we have confused sinful pride about ourselves with godly pride in the work we are called to do. Why do so many Christians suffer through church programs that are sincerely awful? Because so many churches fear that striving for excellence would lead us into pride. The fact is, it’s not bragging if you give God the credit—not just in public, but in your heart of hearts. Excellence and achievement don’t give us bragging rights against other workers . . . or teachers, artists, doctors, or whatever our particular area of good work might be. Instead, Paul’s command guides us: “let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” We have reason to be proud of what we do in the high calling of our daily work, and reason to be humble, since it is God “who works in us both to will and to work” Philippians 2:13
An Example: 20 students wrote the medical examination. One of them secured the top marks with honors and Dean’s Award. This student happened to be a Christian. He was praised by his superiors and fellow students. As long as this student gives glory to God and is thankful for the wisdom that received from God, he is not sinning by taking a pride in his good efforts.

    1. Did you just read my post “Humility” here:

I am so very surprised if you did not read it and comment here about all these for just before that not for a long time ago I was commenting with others about humility, sinful pride and Godly pride. Surely, the LORD is in complete control!

Thank you for your comment here. I have been thinking about this too these days. This subject is quite complex for me to understand, and I do want to come to GOD for the answers about this.

    1. Yes, JESUS did NOT sin. If we call HIM that HE sinned, then we render the works of CHRIST on the cross being all in vain and of no power. Although, the blood shed on the cross by JESUS CHRIST; who is our GOD and only one true SAVIOUR is ALL powerful and can cleanse ALL sins–and have sins to be forgiven completely.

In response to your comment “if we say we do sin when we are Born again we are also calling God a Liar, He tells us we cannot sin.”

GOD is NOT a liar. We are to follow what the scripture says completely, accept and abide in the truth.

Here in this verse “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9.

Everyone still sin at some point of time, if they stop sinning immediately when they are born-again, then why would GOD died for our sins to be reconciled back to HIM? Why wouldn’t then that HE just tell us to sin no more, expecting us to be all under control? To say we will not sin being a follower of CHRIST is denying the very reason that JESUS who have died for our sins, for we are trying to say that HIS works on the cross is useless–although the truth is that the blood of JESUS that was shed on the cross have ALL power to cleanse our sins.

“He cannot sin”, I believe this is to mean that sin have no power over the follower of CHRIST but that doesn’t mean HE will never sin. Yes, indeed we will never sin when we are in our glorified bodies that inherit a sinless nature along with the complete infusion of the HOLY SPIRIT.

In the verse 1 John 3: 6-7–“Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.”

I believe this is pointing towards the difference between a habitual sinner who continuously sin blatantly and those followers of CHRIST who hate sin and through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT to stop sinning, who are intentionally avoiding to sin; although that doesn’t mean we will not sin for if we say that we do not sin then we are deceiving ourselves. Repentance and confession for forgiveness of our sins are continuous, and is to be done daily.

  5. Jesus very clearly tells us to seek, ask and knock and we will be complete in Him but many don’t know what to ask for and some don’t have because as Jesus tells us; they don’t ask and He also tells us; my people perish through lack of knowledge or understanding.

We were not born as babies with The Holy Spirit or God’s wisdom, we need to ask, is it pride that some don’t ask, are they so sure they know it all or is it because they don’t know they are to ask, how do we know if we have God’s wisdom……. (1Corinthians2:9-16)

We ask for The Holy Spirit – Luke 11:13 how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

We ask for God’s wisdom – James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne

    1. Are you born again? If so, I want to ask you–do you completely stop sinning after being born-again? If you say you do not sin after being born-again, I suggest you to seek GOD for this answer yourself and the HOLY SPIRIT to convict you about this issue.

Well, did you asked the HOLY SPIRIT regarding this matter and HIM revealing it to you with confirmation after confirmation before being so sure of yourself that you reckon born-again believers will not sin anymore?

I fear GOD a lot and I would never want to mislead other people of the truth for I desire not to. I do not want to trust in others nor myself but to trust in the LORD alone. I am not in error because I am a born-again Christian. I have a real life testimony of what I have experienced after being born-again which I too do sin and stumble. I am not a partial believer of the bible nor would I ever want to make false doctrines of it.

I do not meant to argue with you for I am stating what I believe. There are many faithful Christians that I know do stumble in sin too.

Do you repent of your sins throughout the day? So after being “born-again” you have no need to repent everyday because you think you have no sin? The HOLY SPIRIT convicts of one’s sin, and people do stumble and sin after being born-again for the scripture says that there is not a just man who does good and sin not. As a follower of CHRIST we are not the slaves of sin anymore for we are powered by the HOLY SPIRIT to overcome our sins and are intentionally avoiding sins.

I am pointing out the scriptures below and you don’t seem to get what I mean. The bible is like a balance, you have to read completely of what the bible says in order to get the whole picture. There is harmony in the bible and the matter in regards that the verse you have stated that people do not sin should not be taken in a literal sense, many of the explanations I have already stated before.

Here is a good read about this matter:

It explains pretty much about being a believer in CHRIST does NOT mean we will never sin again. That is a lie from Satan to think of oneself have no sin at all.
