Watching for the LORD’s Return

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6

Before getting into the subject of watching for the LORD’s return, we have to understand that we are a chosen people to be born just for this generation to witness towards what is to come that all generations in the past did not have the chance. Realize that we are NOW living in the Book of Revelation and it is going to play out just before your eyes! Since the verse above is about the signs of GOD’s coming and the end of the world. Below are a list of signs based on the bible that we are truly living in the end times.

Intimacy With GOD

For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. Isaiah 54:5 

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Revelation 19:7

Complete Surrender to GOD

Think of this way, in order for the writer to write something he wants, the pen must abide in his hand wherever it goes. If the pen goes the opposite direction of what the writer wants, the writing will not be successfully accomplished by the writer. Imagine now, that the pen is like you and the writer is like GOD. For the pen to completely surrender to the writer, it have to forsake its own will to follow the will of the writer by going to whichever direction the hand of the writer guides it. That is like when surrendering to the will of GOD.
